Megan

Megan is a 2009 senior at Bethel High School (that would be Andy's alma mater) I had the absolute pleasure of photographing her last week. Isn't she just cute and beautiful at the same time! Her mom tagged along as we went from the different settings that we had planned (I have to say a BIG THANK YOU to Lisa for letting us use her amazing home for a few of the outfits) We lucked out with one of the cooler/low humid days we had been having. Megan is also quite the talented dancer and I love the non traditional shots we did of her leaping through the air. Thanks again Megan and Karen for a wonderful photoshoot!

Genevieve and Garrett

Last Friday I had the pleasure of driving back to my home state of Indiana to meet and shoot Genevieve and Garrett's engagement session. I knew right away on the first shot w/ these two that their pictures were gonna be great! When they look at each other I am so excited with how genuine and natural their smiles are!!! This blog is a little different w/ a video slide show instead of my usual post of images. However, I think your all gonna love it! There is music, so make sure your speakers are on! *WARNING...if you don't like cornfields and bright blue skies...then this video may not be for you!!! (hee hee hee) and what's a blog without a rhyme?

While meeting both Genevieve and Garrett for the first time
I heard their engagement story and knew it would make the perfect rhyme

She told me he proposed to her on a ski lift
As you can imagine he was holding her ring w/ a death grip

She was wearing ski goggles so he couldn't see that she was crying
If I said I wasn't looking forward to photographing their wedding, you know I'd be lying

Congrats Kelly & Congrats Kelly!!!!

Ummmm.... Does my headline confuse you???? It's not a typo!! I'm a few days behind on this blog (surprise surprise) but I just wanted to say a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to two of the special Kelly's in my life. (did you all know that I actually have 4 special Kelly's in my life, that's right 2 cousins and 2 close friends)

Well Kelly U celebrated her tenth wedding anniversary this past weekend. I can't believe I was in her wedding ten years ago! Kelly and Jason I'm so happy for you and wish you 10 x 10 more years of happiness together!!!

You know how brides tend to say "yeah I picked that bridesmaids dress for you so you could wear it again" and then the bridesmaids just look at her and smile (since that's what they are supposed to do??? even though in the back of their mind they are thinking....is she for real???) Well my dear friend Kelly said that and we actually smiled at her and we meant it. I wore my bridesmaids dress to so many events for the next two years after her wedding! Thanks again Kelly! :)


RHYME TIME:

I remember in high school when you first started going steady
Your family has grown to five with your three little ones
I can't wait to photograph you this fall and I miss you tons

Onto my other Kelly! This Kelly and I have only been friends for about a year, but it feels like a lifetime. I swear her and I are twins separated at birth and raised by two separate families! No we don't look like twins (although we both have very long hair and are the same size) but our likes, dislikes and manorisms are the same. Sometimes it's scary!!!!!!

Okay onto what this whole blog is about.... KELLY WON AN EMMY!!!! No you couldn't see her on tv accepting her award. She is a producer for the Dayton CW and she was nominated for a regional award and this past weekend SHE WON!!!!! I haven't had a chance to talk to her directly yet...so I don't have any other information. (she sent me a text right after she won)
SO CONGRATS KELLY! I'M SO EXCITED AND PROUD OF YOU!!!! Call me okay!!!! (LOL)

I Love Surprises!!!!

Our good friends Chris and Curt threw their parents a surprise 40th wedding anniversary party! Andy has grown up w/ this family all his life so we were so glad to be there to help celebrate. This was my first time at the Miami Valley Hunt & Polo Club! The light was so pretty everywhere you looked. What a great evening!

JB happens to be one of my favorite models (and one of my bffs)!

The hat she is modeling was made by my fabulous and amazing mom! We will soon be photographing more and more of her hats and showing them off on this blog! Brides and grooms....she can make custom veils and top hats!!! There will be more of that on here this fall too!
